In PiPiPi, it's really only a handful that can speak human (Clefairy and Squirtle). The rest are presented in a different font, indicating that they're speaking their own language and that humans can just understand them. And Meowth's clone in the first movie and MR couldn't speak human. --BJG

Did it ever really say that about the Pokemon in PiPiPi? It seems incongruous, especially since Almond keeps asking Hazel how she can understand Pikachu. Ketsuban 21:08, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Should it be noted that Lucario's speach is granted through 'Aura?' The article points out when speach is a result of telepathy, so shouldn't aura recieve the same privalige?
also Deoxys talking through Meowth in Pokemon Ranger: Deoxys Crisis
What about noting that ash had to bring his squirtle out to translate what a wartortle was saying due to pikachu being unable to understand it in Beach Blank-Out Blastoise.
I vaguely remember I talking Dragonite at one point in the anime. Dose anyone else remember this?Ai Hikari 18:53, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Should this be mentioned? I know they aren't really talking but it does play on the idea of talking Pokémon. --☆ケンジガール 04:21, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Redirect
The article doesn't redirect to simply "Talking Pokemon". Since I don't really bother to type in the "é" when I'm searching for an article, I just started to type "Talking Pok" and when I put a normal "e", the articles under my typing that started the same disappeared. I started again and saw that "Talking Pokémon" and "Talking Pokmon" were the only ones. So... the article doesn't redirect to simple "e" titles, like other articles like Pokemon anime (Pokémon Anime). Somebody who knows how to redirect articles should really do that.--DRAGONBEASTX 03:37, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

#REDIRECT articlenamehere

There. Now you know how. ~ sol 03:39, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
So, I got to "move" then I press this?

I'm thinking with also the "nowwiki".--DRAGONBEASTX 03:44, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

...you like making things don't you? Or maybe I just didn't understand what you said. To make redirects, you only put down exactly as shown (not as written, as shown). So to redirect Pokemon anime to Pokémon anime, you'd write "#REDIRECT Pokémon anime" on the Pokemon anime page. But The Dark Fiddler already did that for Talking Pokemon so you don't need to worry about it anymore. ~ sol 03:47, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
..... I'm not that good with template stuff..... I would make my own be keeping one on another tab then converting with how I'd want to make it look..... sorry..... thanks Fiddler.....--DRAGONBEASTX 03:51, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Psychic
I've noticed that all Pokemon that talk in the Anime can learn psychic, except for Meowth, who learned to talk. Is this notable?--Skaisdead 20:39, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Lapras, Tentacruel, Gastly, and Shaymin beg to differ. —darklordtrom 20:55, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Lapras, Gastly, and Shaymin can all learn psychic. And Tentacruel used Meowth to talk, didn't it? - unsigned comment from Skaisdead (talk • contribs)
Eh... I misread. No, it isn't notable, as they don't use Psychic to speak, do they? —darklordtrom 23:54, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
I guess I wouldn't say it was notable, but I don't think it was a coincidence. What other reason would they have given Shaymin or Manaphy psychic, you know?--Skaisdead 00:00, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Psychic is a powerful move which lots of non-Psychic Pokémon can learn, particularly those with high SpAtk. Lucario, Ho-Oh and Electabuzz are prime examples. —darklordtrom 02:55, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I know what psychic is, and I'm also aware of the Pokemon that can learn in. I said all Pokemon that can directly talk to humans can learn psychic, not all Pokemon that can learn psychic can directly talk to humans.--Skaisdead 04:46, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
EP195
Um, Guys, you forgot to put the instance of those talking Pokémon in that episode.
No talking Pidgey, Oddish or Ratatta listed in the article?--JeffSharpedo rk 07:45, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

EP060
In Beach Blank-Out Blastoise, Pikachu appears to be unable to understand Wartortle, and so brings out Squirtle, presumably to act as an interpreter. This could be considered evidence that not all Pokémon are necessarily able to understand one another's speech, and thus there is not one universal Pokémon language. --GuyPerfect (talk) 05:23, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
It could just be that that one Wartortle had an odd way of speaking? One instance is not really proof enough for a revision. Nokota (talk) 10:30, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Human Language?
In the section where the article notes that "human language" is not clearly defined in the top games kostenlos, oyun indirme siteleri monster mmorpg, it also points out that there are NPCs in generation 2 and 5 that speak foreign languages. I think it is also worthy to note the Rocket in generation 2 who stole the machine part from the Kanto power plant says that he comes from far away and doesn't know the local language very well, evidencing he speaks a foreign language, in generation 2. Nokota (talk) 10:32, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Squishy, Dream Poke'mon, and Z2
I feel that before Volcanion, we need to add Squishy, The Dream Poke'mon in XY098, and Z2 in the Talking Poke'mon list, since they do talk. No one has ever paid attention to that despite the episode already aired at the time. Rockruff16 (talk) 13:54, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Panic at the Cherry Blossom Festival (Japanese: お花見で大パニック, Panic at the Cherry Blossom Festival), is the fourth chapter of the second volume of Magical Pokémon Journey.

4 Trivia

4.1 Errors
4.2 Translation edits

It is time for a cherry blossom festival in Hazel's town. She attends with Grandpa, Coconut, Almond, and the Pokémon. Grandpa offers Pikachu and Clefairy a drink of sake, but Hazel stops him, insisting that the Pokémon should not drink alcoholic beverages. She offers them amazake instead, however, the effect of the amazake on the Pokémon is the same as if a human had drank sake. As they are discovering that amazake gets Pokémon drunk, they discover a very drunk and violent Dodrio that is causing trouble. Dodrio's cousin, Doduo, apologises for his behavior.
Coconut brings out a sleeping potion to try to sedate Dodrio, but it turns out to be a firecracker instead, which explodes on Eevee. Squirtle, the only Pokémon that didn't get drunk, tries to attack Dodrio with his Water Gun, however, he is unable to defeat Dodrio. Clefairy decides to fight instead, despite still being drunk from the amazake. He too is defeated by Dodrio's Drill Peck.
Finally, Jigglypuff manages to put everyone to sleep with her Sing attack and the cherry blossom festival is cancelled. The entire group sleeps outside, and in the morning all the Pokémon are hungover and all of the humans catch colds.

Translation edits
In the English translation, the amazake was changed to apple cider. This change was likely made as amazake is not a common drink in the English-speaking world. Either way, the effect is the same: Pokémon can get drunk off non-alcoholic beverages.
